Legacy WP_SUBSCRIPTION_* constants and old function names remain available via includes/LegacyCompat.php: Keeps the pre-rename constants and function names working through a compatibility shim, so existing customisations do not break.

Renamed reserved WP_SUBSCRIPTION_* constants to SUBSCRPT_* to comply with WordPress.org naming guidelines: Renames constants that used a reserved prefix, as required for WordPress.org listings. The old names still resolve.

Renamed wp_-prefixed global functions (wp_subscrpt_write_log, wp_subs_multiselect_field, etc.) to subscrpt_ prefix: Renames global functions off the reserved wp_ prefix. The previous names remain available for compatibility.

Renamed non-prefixed AJAX actions (install_woocommerce_plugin, activate_woocommerce_plugin) to subscrpt_ prefix: Prefixes the plugin's AJAX actions so they cannot collide with identically-named actions from other plugins.

Stripe gateway class now wrapped in class_exists check to prevent fatal error when WooCommerce Stripe plugin is inactive: Guards the Stripe gateway class so deactivating the WooCommerce Stripe plugin no longer takes the site down.

Replaced insecure JavaScript redirections in ActionController with wp_safe_redirect(): Swaps client-side redirects for wp_safe_redirect(), which restricts redirects to the site's own host.

PayPal webhook inputs now sanitized before processing: Sanitizes every field of the PayPal webhook payload before it is used, so untrusted input cannot reach internal handlers.

Plugin name updated to comply with WordPress.org trademark guidelines: Renames the plugin to satisfy WordPress.org trademark rules for directory listings.

Guest checkout improvements: Refines the guest checkout flow so subscription data and the new account link correctly on completion.

Prevent setup_future_usage from being added to renewal orders in Stripe: Stripe's setup_future_usage flag was sent on renewals as well as first payments, which could trigger extra authentication. It is now sent only on initial payment.

Subscription trials: Fixes trial handling so the first charge is deferred until the trial period actually ends.

Cart text issue: Corrects malformed cart text that displayed raw placeholders instead of the billing interval.

Reactivate subscription button: Fixes the reactivate button, which failed to restore a cancelled subscription to active.

Stripe initialization error: Stripe failed to initialise when API keys were absent or malformed, breaking unrelated admin screens. It now fails quietly.

Subscription timing inconsistencies: Renewal, trial, and expiry dates were calculated from different reference points and disagreed. They now share one anchor.

Subscription verbose status: Expands status labels from internal keys to readable text in the admin and account areas.

Subscriber address information missing: Billing and shipping addresses were not copied to renewal orders, leaving them incomplete for fulfilment and tax.

Cart description missing in some cases: The recurring billing description was absent from some cart line items, leaving customers unclear on what they were signing up for. It now always renders.

Function return type error: A function returned a value that did not match its declared type, throwing an error on strict PHP versions.

Stripe deprecated functions: Replaces Stripe SDK calls that were deprecated and would stop working on newer API versions.

Cart showing incorrect TAX: Corrects tax calculation for subscription products in the cart, which applied the wrong rate to recurring line items.

WC product related error: An error was thrown when a subscription referenced a product that had since been deleted.

WC session check error: Session validation threw an error during cart and checkout when no WooCommerce session existed yet.

Cart subscription text: Fixes the recurring-interval wording shown beside subscription products in the cart.

Load translations from WP.Org: Loads translations from the WordPress.org language packs rather than bundling them, so updates arrive without a plugin release.

Zero decimal price issue: Prices in zero-decimal currencies such as JPY were multiplied by 100 at the gateway. Amounts are now formatted per currency.

Cart description visibility issue: Corrects the visibility rules for the subscription description in the cart, which stayed hidden under certain configurations.

Updated language text-domain: Corrects the text domain so translations load from the expected files.

Minor core settings: Small corrections to default values and labels on the core settings screen.

PayPal webhook signature verification: Verifies the signature on incoming PayPal webhooks so forged requests are rejected.

Missing translations in Cart & Checkout pages: Several cart and checkout strings were not translatable and always rendered in English. They are now exposed to translation.

Unauthorized access to user subscription: Subscription details could be viewed by guessing an ID. Ownership is now verified before the record is returned.

Subscription details default endpoint: The subscription details page resolved to the wrong account endpoint by default, producing a missing page.

Proper subscription timings: Aligns renewal, trial, and expiry timing so each fires at the intended moment rather than drifting.

WordPress test up to version: Updates the declared WordPress compatibility version after testing against the latest release.

Other minor bugs: Assorted small fixes with no change to documented behaviour.

My subscriptions & view-subscription links: Corrects the account-area links to the subscription list and individual subscription views, which resolved to the wrong endpoint.

Subscription links in emails: Subscription links in notification emails pointed at the wrong endpoint and returned a missing page.

Added beta badge in the integrations list: Marks integrations that are still in beta directly in the integrations list, so store owners know what is production-ready.

Subscription switch action: Fixes the plan switch action, which left the subscription in an inconsistent state after an upgrade or downgrade.

Core helper methods: Fixes core helper methods that returned stale or incorrect subscription data to callers.

Subscription cron task actions: Fixes the scheduled tasks that advance subscription status, which stopped running after a failed job.

Status translation giving errors: Translating subscription status labels threw an error when the status had no registered label. Unknown statuses now fall back safely.

Integrations filter: Fixes the filter on the integrations screen, which returned results that did not match the selected category.

Order timestamp error: Order timestamps were stored in the wrong timezone, shifting subscription dates by hours.

Subscription-related order error: Renewal orders failed to link back to their subscription, breaking payment history.

Cart page was showing price with tax even if taxes are turned off: The cart added tax to subscription prices on stores with tax disabled. Prices now follow the store's tax setting.

Settings page: Improves grouping and labelling on the settings screen.

Cart warning messages: Improves the warning shown when a cart combination is not allowed, so customers understand why the item was rejected.

Two-way add to cart check (sub <=> non-sub): Blocks mixing subscription and non-subscription products in one cart in both directions, which previously produced uncheckoutable carts.

Guest checkout account creation error: Account creation failed partway through guest checkout, leaving an order without a linked subscription. The account is now created reliably.

Added some helper functions: Adds helper functions that themes and third-party code can call to read subscription data without querying the database directly.

View subscription from user menu showing “Page not found”: The account menu link to a subscription resolved to a missing page because the endpoint was not registered.

Compatibility patch for subscription quick check QR code: Keeps the free plugin compatible with the Pro quick-check QR feature, which failed when the two versions were mismatched.

Error due to operation with wrong type: An operation ran against an unexpected value type and threw a fatal error. The type is now checked before use.

User role not changing for active/inactive subscribers: A customer's role stayed put when their subscription lapsed, leaving access after expiry.

Auto renewal on/off action visibility (for Stripe paid subscriptions only): Limits the auto-renewal toggle to Stripe-paid subscriptions, since other gateways cannot honour the setting.

Fixed user role conflicts between subscription customers and administrators: Subscription role changes could overwrite an administrator's role. Administrators are now excluded from automatic role changes.

User roles now properly change based on subscription status (active/inactive): Roles now follow subscription status automatically, granting access on activation and removing it on expiry.

Corrected role assignment system to work with subscription status changes: Reworks role assignment so a customer's role follows their subscription status instead of being set once at signup.

Internationalization issues – Fixed variable usage in translation functions: Variables were passed directly into translation functions, which breaks string extraction. They are now passed as ordered placeholders.

Unescaped translation functions – Replaced _e() with esc_html_e() and esc_attr_e(): Escapes translated output at the point of printing, so translations cannot inject markup.

Removed discouraged load_plugin_textdomain() function: Drops the manual textdomain call, which WordPress now handles automatically for directory-hosted plugins.

Unordered placeholders in translatable strings – Used ordered placeholders: Switches to numbered placeholders so translators can reorder them for languages with different word order.

Plugin headers – Added missing “Requires at least” and “Requires PHP” headers: Declares the minimum WordPress and PHP versions, so incompatible sites are warned before installing.

Plugin readme – Shortened description to under 150 characters: Trims the readme short description to the length WordPress.org allows.

Naming conventions – Updated generic function names to use wps_subscription_ prefix: Prefixes generic function names to avoid collisions with other plugins in the global namespace.
